I am a passionate middle aged woman, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. I strive to make the most out of life and to learn from the "journey". I have experienced death, divorce, both wanted and unwanted changes, family crisis, education, years of work, and midlife change. As difficult as change is, it is always my goal to see the opportunity in the challenges of life. I have been fortunate to have some very close friends and mentors throughout my life. I have explored many avenues of personal growth and made a life long commitment to staying open to learning and self awareness.

I am blessed with one daughter, a son-in-law, and two wonderful grandchildren. Over the years, I have found that those people closest to me have been my greatest teachers; especially my daughter and grandchildren.

I have over 30 years of counseling experience. I began my counseling career back in the late 70's working in the field of addictions. I especially loved elementary counseling and the diversity of opportunities it offered. I enjoyed teaching classroom lessons, facilitating small groups of children and working with them individually. The opportunities for creative planning and finding new ways to deliver a lesson to children were endless.

I retired from the school system and opened my private practice several years ago.

Interests and hobbies include reading, traveling, laying on the beach, yoga, spending time with friends, attending Unity Church, watching a good foreign film, hiking, bicycling, kayaking, cross country skiing, spiritual direction groups and taking part in the many activities and events that the Traverse City area has to offer.

I moved my private practice to Traverse City after years of counseling in the Grayling area. I have always loved Traverse City and I am excited to have made it my permanent home.
